Vasiliy Moroz

School Principal, Highschool Teacher
It is an honor to serve the young generation by providing them with an opportunity to learn and grow with Biblical truths and a strong emphasis on academics. I love to spend time with students by having meaningful classroom discussions, having chapel time, going on field trips, and doing classroom work. My philosophy of education comes from Proverbs 9:9-10 “9 Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be still wiser; Teach a just man, and he will increase in learning. 10 "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.”

Oksana Moroz

K - 8 Teacher
For the last 11 years, it has been a privilege to teach at our school. I had joined the school faculty in 2008 when school was under a different name and leadership, and I have been teaching here ever since.
I have taught elementary and middle school classes and have organized and participated in many special events and extracurricular activities. For a brief time, while I was obtaining my Bachelor's Degree and going through the certification process, I taught at Lynnwood Elementary school. Being part of the public-school system with its laws and mandates helped me see the difference in the school environment and programs and appreciate Christian education more than ever before.
Teaching at City on a Hill Christian school with an A.C.E. curriculum allows me to provide excellent, individualized education tailored to the students' needs. Unfortunately, public school teachers
do not have that opportunity, and many kids fall through the cracks. It is enriching at our school to see how students grow and change and become more Christ-like in their character. This journey is not easy, but I can testify of many blessings along the way.

Michelle Herrera

K - 2  Teacher
My name is Mrs. Michelle Herrera. I relocated from Honduras to the U.S 10 years ago. God has abundantly blessed me with a wonderful husband and 3 treasured sons. I first began as a volunteer at our school in
2010. I was so amazed by the students' comfort that I wanted to become a part of the school. Being an A.C.E. graduate myself allowed me to apply my knowledge at C.H.C.S for the past 9 years as a kindergarten and first-grade teacher. It is exciting for me to be a kindergarten teacher and to be able to instill biblical values into kids with our curriculum daily. I love teaching students to pray during circle time and to read bible stories to them that they can apply to their school world. I love that with kids, there is never a dull moment. Their minds are continually learning, growing, and
observing every detail, and you never know what they may say or do! I consider this school to be an environment that is spiritually and physically healthy. I'm so thankful that God has allowed me to be part of City on a Hill Christian School.

Taking a part in raising the next generation is one of the biggest responsibilities one can account for.
Teaching in Christian environment is a blessing to me. It’s an honor to watch each individual student
grow and develop biblical characteristics and principles. Having gone through A.C.E. program myself, I
was encouraged daily to spend time with God, study Scripture and place my effort into raising the next
generation. Teaching was a calling I didn’t expect, but I embraced God’s will in my life and I am blessed
by it.
