Hart Family Fire Relief Fund

Church family, we want to make you aware of very devastating tragedy that happened last night to one of our beloved members. Bruce and Donna Hart’s home burned when their chimney caught their attic on fire. We praise God that no one was injured, but it resulted in a total loss from fire, smoke, and water damage. In addition to the physical loss of property, just one week ago their homeowners insurance canceled them. At this point in time we don’t know the legal ramifications. In addition to asking for your prayers for the family, would you please consider helping the family financially to offset immediate costs. They escaped the fire with only the clothes on their backs. They will need to replace most everything. This is what our church community in the body of Christ is all about. When one of us experiences loss, we all experience loss.

“As the Scriptures say, “They share freely and give generously to the poor. Their good deeds will be remembered forever.” “Yes, you will be enriched in every way so that you can always be generous. And when we take your gifts to those who need them, they will thank God. So two good things will result from this ministry of giving—the needs of the believers (Bruce and Donna Hart) will be met, and they will joyfully express their thanks to God.” 2 Corinthians 9:9, 11-12

The same evening that this fire occurred, Donna Hart was at the church doing massage therapy for parents and guardians of people with special needs at Night to Shine. That's just a small glimpse of who this family is.

This Sunday, March 10th, we want to take a special offering to help the Hart Family during this loss. You will have an opportunity to give to this family. You can also give on our website by going to GIVING, and selecting the "Hart Family Fire Relief Fund."
